The 8th Spartakiad Games of the Integra Group have started in Perm!

On 28 February and 1 March 2015, the 8th Spartakiad Games of the Integra Group were opened with cross-country skiing competitions at the “Dynamo” ski base in Perm.

During two days, the snow-covered slopes were occupied by amateur skiers represented by teams of the Group enterprises: Integra Drilling subsidiary in Nizhnevartovsk, VNIIBT-Drilling Tools subsidiary in Kotovo, “Integra Management” Managing company (Moscow), Orenburgtehservise (Buzuluk), VNIIBT-Drilling Tools (Perm).

The competitions were opened with the ceremonial parade of athletes, with the Russian tricolor and the Integra corporate flag rising to the strains of the national anthem of the Russian Federation. The cross-country skiers were welcomed by D. Shulman, Integra Executive Director, and D. Khlebnikov, VNIIBT-Drilling Tools Managing Director.

The first day was marked by individual men's and women's races in different age categories. Women competed at 2 km distance, while men contested the victory on the slopes of 3 and 5 km. The experienced match officials led by A. Oschepkov ensured the rules of the competition and carefully recorded the athletes' results. We are pleased to note the atmosphere of mutual help and friendship prevailing at the competition and being its good tradition, the participants cheered for each other and generously shared the secrets of sportsmanship.

On the second day, the participants and spectators were shown the most emotional part of the competition - a combined team relay. Four stages of the hot struggle for the best time, emotional screams of fans, eight kilometers of snow skiing runs sparkling under the sun, three switchovers to teammates ... and the Moscow team of Integra Management won the battle for the championship. The second were representatives of the Permian VNIIBT-BI team, the third place was won by skiers from Orenburgtehservise.

While judges and organizers were summing up the competition results  and points the teams received, the ski race participants were having  tea with cakes, discussed their success in sports and work issues -  indeed, how soon will they have another opportunity to share their work experience with colleagues from other regions of Russia?

At the closing ceremonial parade all the winners and runners-up of the competition were awarded medals and certificates. The VNIIBT-Drilling Tools team from Perm finishing first in the overall standing was awarded a cup and first place diploma, the second place of the Moscow team of Integra Management and the third place of the Kotovo affiliate of VNIIBT-Drilling Tools were awarded second and third place diplomas, respectively.

Some other prizes – decorative medals and sweets – were given to little supporters of skiing races – children of the Integra employees who came that day to the ski base.

Skiing holiday remained behind, but still ahead Integra is waiting for six sports competitions: table tennis, chess, billiards, beach volleyball, mini-football, and track and field athletics.
